The United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals nearly four years ago, charting a course to address the world’s most serious challenges — and to see major results by 2030. To reach this deadline, we’ll need to come together as global citizens in the most massive, world-changing project ever attempted. That means everyone deserves a seat at the table.
That’s the central idea behind the Social Good Summit, which brings together global citizens from every walk of life to share their ideas and energy to create the world we all deserve. The 10th annual Social Good Summit will celebrate a decade of activism from 18th September to 30th September worldwide. This year the summit will focus on the catastrophic threat of climate change by bringing together global thought leaders, new media and technology experts, grassroots activities, and influential voices from around the globe for constructive dialogue and on-stage activations.
In Nepal, the 2019 Social Good Summit is being led by the UNDP Accelerator Lab. The Lab will host a series of events primarily focusing on:
- Raising Awareness about Carbon Neutrality and Going GREEN!
- Coping with Climate Change
- Environmental issues
