Leadership development training on SDGs localization

Assuring the integration of the SDGs in the municipal planning process, the Municipal Association of Nepal put together a leadership development training seminar in Chitwan.

Sauraha, 10 November: A three-day leadership development training on the localization of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) took place in Sauraha, Chitwan with a commitment to integrate the SDGs in the municipal planning process. The programme was organized by the Municipal Association of Nepal (MuAN), and supported by UNDP.

At the inauguration, the Mayor of Ratnanagar Municipality, Narayan Ban, emphasized on the integration of the SDGs in social, economic and infrastructure development; he also mentioned the initiatives that had been taken to solve issues related to landlessness.

The training covered transformational leadership and the concept of SDG localization, along with gender equality and individual and professional initiations for achieving the goals.
