With repeated natural calamities and earthquakes, Nepal is considered highly vulnerable to disasters. To minimize these risks and tackle the inevitable catastrophes, Nepal government has developed various policies, laws and institutions. The aim of the Disaster Reduction National Policy drafted by the Ministry of Home Affairs is to contribute in national disaster safety contributing to sustainable development.
