Training Manual-Empowering Women Affected by HIV to Protect their Rights at Health Care Settings

April 8, 2016

While prevalence of HIV in Nepal is relatively low nationwide at about 0.2–0.3 percent over the past five years, and though tremendous effort has been made by Nepal’s government, civil society organizations and development partners to combat HIV through the National HIV/AIDS Strategy 2011–2016, people living with HIV, and in particular women living with HIV, face impediments to living healthier and more productive lives.

As we embrace the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the 2030 Agenda on Sustainable Development, this training manual is geared to ensure no one is left behind or overlooked in our work to achieve the SDGs. This manual is aimed at empowering women with HIV to know and protect their rights, and to gain access to justice in cases where those rights have been violated.
