More than 80 percent of the total population of Nepal is at high risk from natural hazards like floods, landslides, earthquakes and Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF). The main purpose of the NDR 2017 is to highlight Nepal’s experiences in Disaster Risk Management (DRM) over the period of 2015 and 2016. The report documents key leanings and challenges in dealing with disaster management and identifying future priority actions for effective disaster response, risk reductions and recovery.
